The School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences is one of eight schools that comprise the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology at The University of Adelaide. The new School has been established to form a coherent and natural academic unit that brings together fundamental, enabling disciplines that underpin science, engineering, technology and many other areas of academia and industry. The School has over 100 FTE staff, 2480 EFTSL and an annual budget of around $81 million, including $14 million in annual research income. This role offers tremendous opportunities for an experienced, forward-looking leader with the operational skills and ability to guide future opportunities to realise the potential of a large and growing school. This includes deepening connections with industry and ensuring the School is strongly connected internally. The University is seeking a strategic leader with the capacity to build a strong and coherent culture with the School and work well externally with a diverse group of stakeholders.
